Did you love Go-Gurt as much as I did? As I continue to find healthy, but yummy snacks, I decided to see if I could recreate one of my childhood favorites. All you need is your favorite yogurt and some time to wait (I know it can be hard!). Making these little frozen yogurt chips will take you no more than 5 minutes, so try them out next time you get some yogurt at the store! These will be my new guilt-free snack late at night when I’ve already had a Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwich 🙂
Dannon Light & Fit Strawberry Yogurt
First, get out a cookie sheet, cake pan, or any flat sheet that you can fit into your freezer. Then, take a ziplock bag and 1 cup of yogurt carefully into the bag. Snip the corner of the bag and begin making quarter sized circles on your pan/sheet.
Once your fill up your sheet or run out of yogurt you can place your pan/sheet into the freezer. If you choose a yogurt with fruit, you may have to remove any large chunks of fruit since they may not fit through your cut hole in the bag. I was lucky and didn’t have any problems getting the strawberries out! They make them look even cuter if you ask me!
You can leave these in overnight or until they are frozen enough to eat.
I left them in for about 4 hours until I couldn’t resist anymore! 🙂 You should be able to easily remove these from your pan/sheet using a spatula, fork, or just your fingers. Make sure to leave any extra ones you don’t eat in a baggy or container in the freezer for another time.
Next time you’re watching TV at night and have a craving for something sweet, know that there are other options; options that are healthy for you, but still taste amazing! Keep up the good work in 2013 and try out your adult Go-Gurt today!
